F5+Glassjaw+11/11

Here's a post for people that like both pressing f5 to refresh pages and glassjaw.

The date's 11/11, and theres a strong suspicion that at 11 minutes past 11 (whatever american time is in new york) you should hit your f5 button like it insulted the masculinity of both you and justin beck. I'm guessing new vinyl time.

Also on other amazing things that glassjaw are doing, they're holding a pizza party today, and my question is this:
Other bands, why can't you do awesome stuff like that? Pizza parties are amazing, and if you add good music to that you can only better yourself and everyone within a 5 mile radius of the event.

Here's a link to vinyl for you:

8/8, 9/9... 10/10?

Let us all rejoice now, for Glassjaw are releasing new music. Properly for money, with a touch more activity on the live front, and with Daryl Palumbo looking slightly more dishevelled from Head Automatica. BUT. This means new music from Glassjaw.

8/8: All good junkies go to heaven:

download it here off the site for a dollargh (it's worth it.)

9/9: jesus glue

10/10:?

No word on what the next release is gonna be, possibly a new john lennon or maybe a jesus glue or re-recorded star over my bed, but hopefully it'll be something completely new, and after the interview on glassjaw.net and a fan/close friend of the band receiving a burnt copy of the ep then raving/boasting on twitter about it, I'm pretty excited for what they're gonna do next.

Leading us to rumours about why they came back. There's been unconfirmed jibba jabba that it's because their contract with Warner Bros. ran out, which makes sense but with no word one can't say. Also since the eps pretty much confirmed, and since it looks like the next vinyl's gonna be last one... 11/11?

Dissect your vinyl

This proves that you should always take a knife to your vinyl, as in between the plastic there's more plastic. And with this plastic you can make a fuck-ton on ebay.

Whether this idea can actually fly will depend on whether this stuff breaks, but only about 5 people who frequent mom 'n' pop stores will ever find out. If you are one of these people let us know, I'd quite like to hear this b-side.

On another note, I'm gonna start buying more 7" vinyl singles and doing some reviews on the best/worst stuff as it comes, so keep an eye out for that when it gets going and I get money. Feel free to donate, it won't be spent on coke and sex parties, just the soundtracks to 'em. Also expect many many interviews with exciting and magnificent human beings who make music. And Axl Rose.
